读统计可以留下 好找工作吗 看W大的博客 统计也还可以 与我的专业能贴上些边。。。。
First, i am sorry I cannot type chinese. My working laptop only has Microsoft Chinese, which totally shit...also plz ignore the typo...
I want to tell you that discrimination is everywhere, Discrimination is the humanity. Don't tell me that you have never felt superiority for one second. This is rule for everywhere, even for none-civilization society. I have work exp in Japan, US and EU. I can confirm this.
Yes, the age and the sexuality is not a problem. But the conclusion is conditional. If you have seized a in-depth understanding of your fields, like bunch of well-recognized financial certification (CFA, CPA, highly-recommended working experience), then you could continue your career in US once you done your degree. US evaluates the exp.
If you have continuous effort into, like stat, or programming knowledge with handful experience, it is OK for you to pursue a CS or Stat degree.
However, through all your descriptions, I did not see any specific industry keen awareness into Financial, also, none in CS or Stat. Under this situation, little possiblity you could survive under such a high workload if you want to transfer major.. 1point3acres
Imagine the resume you would provide to HR, when he/she said, well you have lots in financial, why now in stat/CS, what is your project exp? what is your strong points? why I why is you? The how can you explain all these to HR?

Besides, I noticed that you are only at a planning phase. I wonder if you have finished all necessary work, like Toefl, gmat/gre and preparation to polish your CV. Lots of working professional who want to continue their overseas study broke at this stage. Great effort for those tests when you are working.
Last but not least, please, consider your parents and your own financial situation. If you and your family
1. had at least two aparments in Beijing/Shanghai/Guangzhou ; 2. your parents (I assumen they are at a retired age) have issurance garantee for pension and medical care; 3. You have or almost have ability to cover all fees in US. You could consider to go abroad, otherwise, plz reconsider the serious financial status.. 1point3acres

If you could say yes for the above three issues, then you could determine to go on.
If no, plz trying to have T/G test first. Wait and see what is going on. Do not treat the tests as a path to go abroad, just treat them as a way to practice English.
I think you were born in 1984 (Per your ID)? You would get admission for 2015 spring and graduate at 2016 Spring at the earlist. You are 32 at that time. Do the math. It is cruel.
(I am a lady too and I am only a little bit younger that you. I know how hard we are)

Just try to have T/G tests first if you can not decide where to go and which major to go. So many working profession broke at this test phase. |
