昨天被拒，今天又要team match

上个礼拜完成了谷歌onsite。感觉面的一般，有的轮很好，有的很差。所以不抱希望了。
果不其然昨天给结果说拒了，说mix feedback. 不能说具体每个人的评价或评分。

戏剧性的是，今天又打电话说有个manager想谈谈。收到邮件Team Fit Call with xxx.

地里有类似的情况吗？没有过HC的可以直接跟经理谈？谈好了还有希望吗？哎楼主的小心脏啊

team match才几天。暂时没消息。大概率会挂，现在竞争真的很激烈

你应该面得是L5+吧，老年总体还是稀缺的，祝早日好消息

看到一个帖子

Sample size - 52. These are from candidates who have made it to Hiring Committee (HC), either before or after Team Match (TM), and have received an HC decision.

% received an HC approval - 73%. This number is much higher than I expected, so I suspect that there could be some selection bias here - folks who got rejected may be taking a break from Blind or less likely to report a result. Also, it is possible that Google relaxed its HC bar, but I find this unlikely.

% went to TM before HC - 37%. We've been hearing a recent change that more candidates are sent for TM before HC, and we see this in the data. Based on what I've read on Blind, this is usually because the on-site feedback was mixed, a new process is kicked in (we do see candidates with primarily SH/H were also sent to TM first), or it is for a higher-level role (L6+).

Offer %, HC-first vs.TM-first - 73% vs. 74%. In terms of the likelihood of getting an offer, I don't see a big difference between those who went to HC first vs. TM first.

% offers were downleveled - 37%. When breaking down this number by HC-first vs. TM-first, we see a pretty big difference - 29% (HC-first) vs. 50% (TM-first). This could be due to the TM-first group tends to have mixed on-site feedback, hence a higher chance of being downleveled.

Another interesting finding is that for those who needed to redo one or more rounds, only 1 in 11 received a reject (from the TM-first group). So if you are asked to redo, you are very likely to get an offer. This makes me question how effective is the redo mechanism, as it almost always leads to a hire decision. Or maybe it is just because my sample size is too small.

****** New Findings ******

Previously, we see that the HC-first group has a slightly lower redo rate compared to the TM-first group. However, when we have a larger sample size, the 2 numbers converged to 21%. Redo requests can come from HC or the recruiter before HC review, and that is not differentiated in this poll.

Regarding the 73% approval rate from HC, at first, I thought it was higher than I expected. However, in the latest communication with my recruiter, she mentioned that most of the results from HC are approvals. With this anecdotal information, I think the 73% HC approval rate from our data is not too unreasonable. And remember, this excludes all the candidates who were rejected right after onsite with no HC review.

Lastly, seems like HC and TM are not necessarily sequential, as I have an impression from my recruiter that an HC review is scheduled for my packet, and at the same time it is already being circulated for the team match. This is contrary to our common understanding that TM won't start until a positive decision is made from HC, or vice versa.

上礼拜三，四。一轮反应很好，就是我问有需要改进的吗，说没有，都很棒，坚持优点。一轮感觉很一般，就是问的很深，回答得很浅，是domain related。 其他的都算正常

我传统行业干习惯了，挣得不多，付出的也少啊。谷歌起码比传统行业钱多些吧…

Domain knowledge没回答上来这不算什么吧. 原来是跳槽. 地里说新流程跳槽好像先teammatch, 然后再送Hiring Committee. 我是NG上周二面的, 我有一轮面的不行, 对面是个国人, 题很新, 但不难, 一下卡住了, 最优解不是我自己做出来的, 而是对方提示的. 估计完蛋了. 到今天都还没消息. 今年下半年毕业真难, 面很多onsite都挂了.

我还以为一般就是面的很好的，直接送HC，然后team match。像我这种mix review 的，看有没有HM support。没消息也许是好消息，因为拒一般都很快
