我老婆群里有好几个小伙伴刚刚才加入一周 还在onboarding 也没了。还有刚刚relocate的也没了。唉，心态都要崩了，本来刚入职上岸 多么好的一件事 一下子打回原点  。给多少钱都弥补不了这种心理创伤啊。

前几天还有个doordash的recruiter reachout，我说暂时不打算换工作，她和我说了一堆doordash不会贸然投钱到一些不盈利的产品上，2022也没有over hire，cash reserve也很health lol，所以不像别的公司lol

2000裁了大概10% engineers，大部分都是最近入职的

节选了WSJ和CNBC报道里的一些细节：


The San Francisco-based business had over 8,600 employees at the start of 2022, but head count ballooned to around 20,000 after it closed its deal to buy European food-delivery company Wolt Enterprises Oy earlier this year, a spokesman said. (1250/20000 = 6.25%)

“We have and will continue to reduce our non-headcount operating expenses, but that alone wouldn’t close the gap,” Mr. Xu said. He also said the business remains strong and more resilient than other e-commerce companies, despite the layoffs.


DoorDash will offer 17 weeks of severance to affected employees. Health care will continue through March 2023. For overseas or visa-sponsored employees, the termination date will be March 1

engineer team好像裁了很多都是新招进来的，国人的群里面很多人表示是刚入职就被layoff了，我在的team被干掉了两个，一个是好像产出不太多的E6，另外一位是刚结束bootcamp 周一才进组的；看了觉得蛮凄凉的是新人是从twitter来的，他自己告诉我没有拿到Elon的钱，没想到拿到了DD的遣散费。
