WHY UTA FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING?
The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) is located in the nation's 3rd largest high-tech U.S. economy.
The UTA Department of Electrical Engineering has research in five overarching areas. These areas include:
•        Power and Energy
•        Cyberphysical and Control Learning Systems
•        Photonics
•        Sensors and the Internet of Things
•        Signal Processing and Machine Learning.

In addition, several non-degree certificates were developed to fulfill the needs of industry partners working closely with our department. These certificates include Unmanned Vehicle Systems, Embedded Systems, Photonic Devices, Power Systems Management, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Electric Propulsion.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
We are offering a combination of Graduate teaching and research assistantships to the most qualified new PhD students to provide financial support during their studies at UTA.
