Hello from Iowa City!

Thank you for choosing the University of Iowa Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science as your new academic institution for higher learning.  

. .иWe had over 350 applications to our graduate programs and we expect 18-25 new students to join us this August in Actuarial Science and another 18-20 students in the Statistics program.  

To make one clarification, the program you have accepted into is to obtain a Master’s of Science in Actuarial Science.  In year’s past this degree was designated as a MS in Statistics with emphasis on Actuarial Science.  It is no longer a Statistic’s MS, but a full Actuarial Science MS.  This transition took place this Spring!
