About the PI:
Dr. Tian Lan is a professor at the Department of ECE, the George Washington University. He received BS from Tsinghua University in 2003, MS from the University of Toronto in 2005, and PhD from Princeton University in 2010, all in Electrical Engineering. His research interests broadly lie in machine learning, network optimization, and cyber security. His work has been recognized by several awards including IEEE INFOCOM Best Paper Award, Hegarty Faculty Innovation Award, IEEE GLOBECOM Best Paper Award, IEEE Signal Processing Society Best Paper Award, as well as research awards from CISCO and Meta.

Lan老师是少见的超好华人老板！不会push你工作查岗etc
不会在非工作时间主动联系你 但是你在非工作时间找他他都会很快回复
同时funding稳定 前几届和本届都没有出现过没有funding/TA/RA的情况
