UT Austin MS ECE (DICE) vs GaTech MS ECE vs UCI MS ECE

Hi Folks,
I am not chinese speaker, I am Indian but I have been to Taiwan many times to work with large Taiwanese ODMs (HonHai, Foxconn, Pegatron, etc)

I have GaTech MS ECE admit and I am waiting for UT Austin.

apart from that I have following Admits
- UC Irvine
- VT
- Ohio State
-CU Boulder
- University of Arizona
- NCSU

Which one will be best option?
I am strongly considering GaTech and UT Austin but waiting for UT Austin responses

Yes, I have received admission two months ago. It's for MS.
First, the competitions for international students and local students are usually separate. Thus, since Austin only admits a small number of foreign students, that means it's possible to receive more resources than studying in other schools. Furthermore, some companies emphasize "diversity", meaning that they want to recruit workers from different schools, so having fewer competitors in your school is a big plus (compared to the school like cmu having a large number of eecs ms students each year)(UIUC MCS seems to have 300-400+ graduate students/UMich CSE Around 200. Most of the students there are Asians who are eager to find jobs and get green pr cards).
Second, UIUC and UMich are in a super cold place without any technology companies, which is a con for me.
Last, UIUC mcs and UMich cse provide little chance to research with professors. And, that might be the real reason that I choose Austin over these two schools.
Anyway, to be honest, these schools don't have a big difference as they are all top 10 schools.  From my perspective, economic depression may be a bigger challenge for us. If the schools aren't different that much, I think the best way is to choose a cheaper program to cut down the cost.

All the programs are ECE? Or there are some  cs?

all ECE
Specialization in Communications (Information Theory, Signal processing, etc)

Does UT Austin send out any waiting list for ECE(DICE) or admission? I think that it is not coming out and they ask me to wait after 4.15. XD

But I will go for UTA , I get admitted by GT CSE and UIUC MCS.  One of best options in United states

yeah, no decision yet from Austin (DICE). Been waiting and have called them as well. No ETA as well.

So you want to go to UT Austin in comparison to GATech and UIUC? Why?

I think that Austin is the rising star for both school and location and will have the biggest chance in the next two years.

I also got admitted from umich cse and uiuc mcs but decided to go to Austin ECE. One reason is cheaper. The other is to have a good opportunity to find a better job without huge pressure of competition compared to other schools.

Have you received UT Austin admit already? Is it for MS or PHD?
why do you think competition will be less compared to Umich/UIUC? fewer students? or what is the reason?
