Multiple Graduate Assistantships are available in Dr. Yuzhi Guo’s lab in the Department of Computer Science at Kent State University for Spring/Fall 2027. The lab focuses on cutting-edge interdisciplinary research in Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Large Language Models, Computer Vision, Biomedical Imaging, Informatics, and Drug Discovery. Dr. Guo has an established track record of publishing high-quality research in premier venues, including NeurIPS, AAAI, CVPR, ICCV, ICLR, RECOMB, MICCAI, Nature Cancer, and IEEE-TNNLS, and is committed to providing students with professional and in-depth research mentorship.
As a Carnegie R1 research university, Kent State offers a rapidly growing academic environment, and the Guo’s lab will provide students with extensive computing resources to support their research. Prospective applicants should have a background in Computer Science, Computational Biology, or related fields, with strong motivation for high-level research and solid engineering skills. Candidates with prior research experience or a record of high-impact publications will be given priority.
