JSM上除了各类演讲和培训外，还有Career Placement Service。
今年的JSM在华盛顿特区。明年的在温哥华。

ASA的会员费：在读学生，十刀。local chapter可能会提供免费的membership给学生，我的就是这么得到的^^

端木同学觉得如果有时间的话，尽可能多地参加Chapter的各类活动。这是networking的好机会，而且和一帮statisticians在一起也是很开心的 （端木小猪是这么认为的）。这也是锻炼people skill的好机会，趁现在还能“负担”得起犯错误。

JASA是影响很大的Journal，这就不多说了。

这些Link都看了，尤其觉得Hans Rosling shows the best stats you've ever seen很神奇。其实有些时候，我觉得美国人提出的新的方法和认识问题的途径，理论上并不是很高深，但是想法本身很好、很出彩，让人看后觉得为什么自己没有想到并付诸于实践？
