但现在不少rs，GIS的前辈们都出去了~~
今年有个前辈签证被check的，但是具体情况不知道~~（被圣塔芭芭拉给录了）

2.【宾夕法尼亚】situation（信息来自于网络，暂时没有考证过，但会更新）
·Pennsylvania State University: 好像PSU的GIS全美第一，人文地理也很强。今年我们系没一个拿到offer，虽然申请的人有好多个。没办法，竞争太激烈，Chair跟我说他们系一般在国内也就一年招一个，而且主要还是GIS的，因为搞GIS的经费多。他们系做自然地理的主要偏重资源环境和气候变化的影响而PSU的TA特别难拿，Chair告诉我说基本上不可能直接给大陆学生。本科是不能直接申他们系的PhD，MS也很难给钱。

·该校地理系成立于1945年，目前有30名教授和副教授，27名硕士生以及50名博士生。 GIS Science 在宾州州立大学地理系下作为一个独立的方向单独存在。主要研究方向偏重GIS应用而非理论研究，例如GIS在人口/环境/土地利用/生态研究中的应用和表 达，并有针对地理建模、地理信息可视化等的研究。申请中同时接受托福和雅思成绩，对于托福的总分最低要求为80分，同时口语部分需要达到19分。
