I strongly support this the proposed rule that extends OPT for international students who attain STEM degree in US. As we know, one important reason why US can dominate the world is that US's STEM field is leading the world. And the reason why they started OPT program is that there are not enough US citizens that work in STEM field, which brings in international students. Passing OPT extra extension would encourage more excellent international students in STEM field to fill in the void and make contribution to US in STEM field, which can help US maintain the dominance of STEM field. Otherwise, US would gradually lose the leading position in STEM field, thus affecting their dominance in the whole world.
