这个值得一说的difficulty要有多难呢?仅对于我这种水平值得一说就够了么?对于自己来说难处不少,但我想这些对于委员会成员的水平不算困难。

对于委员会成员的水平都算困难的问题被你解决了,你就可以去mit了。

困难不难不是问题,关键是要让别人看出你有动力,有能力去解决问题,肯努力去做。

看过很多老师的建议,要突出重点研究经历和收获,最好是如何具体解决某个问题。还有是你对这个领域的见解和未来的计划,这些都凸显你的研究能力。再就是一些为什么选择这儿领域,这个学校。

我觉得是0.7%看着就知道是个拔尖的水平,竞争者有多少无所谓。
话说我只在PHS里提了名次,PS里实在没处塞,总觉得放了跟自传一样。

1,LZ想要说得点太多了。我觉得research经历在CV里应该都很详细的罗列了,在SOP里就说最重要的几个就好了。而且侧重描写内心的变化,自己的心得体会。他们如何shape你的career goal和academic path.某admission committee教授跟我说过,SOP最怕的就是对CV的重复。-baidu 1point3acres
2. 感觉LZ语言还不是很过关。有些话太长了,hard to follow. 句子不是越长越好这是老生常谈。而且SOP同时serve as a writing sample,学术写作最看重清晰和简洁吧。同时你的有些句子又太短了,可以和并。
“Now I started my undergraduate final project. It is about the electromagnetic cavity effects from the transmitter. ” 这两句话不合并还有没有天理。。
3. 段落太多,每段太短。要是教授跳读,每段读首尾句,就基本读了半篇文章。。。每个经历都说,每个又说的不完备。。还是挑两个主要的。
4. 多用action verb吧。感觉楼主倒装啊从句啊太多。。很多句子主语都在老后面。。语法虽然不错,但读起来一点都不激进,没有活力。

多谢大家的批评,我潜心研究了大家的建议,并做出来重大修改,很多地方重写了,下面这个是修订版的,诚邀大家继续拍砖
Statement of Purpose
      In my formative years, my parents often taught me to cherish education and independent thought. With the significant value of the pursuit of excellence, as well as perseverance, I always enjoyed embracing and overcoming life’s challenges, instead of evading. From my early age, the cloud-capped radio mast near my house indeed intrigued my interest on electromagnetics and thus inspired me to explore further in the territory of it. As a consequence, through the Chinese National College Entrance Exam, during which I ranked 0.7% in my province, I was selected into the Electrical Engineering program at an elite Chinese university, M University. .       During my first semester in the university, I went into Professor A’s research group in National Laboratory for Optoelectronics. When involving to do some of experiment about the laser speckle imaging, I help to set up the laser speckle contrast imagine system for blood flow imaging, which contains a He-Ne laser, beam expander mirrors, polaroid and analog CCD camera. I completed high constant current LED drivers there. Finishing these circuit systems independently is a challenge to a freshman like me, because what I did alone are not only about designing PCBs and building circuits but also programming with the single-chip to provide dot correction in LEDs system. I proposed a creative solution so fewer latches can be used. This accomplishment was an enormous confidence booster, demonstrating to me I could achieve anything if I set my mind to it. Besides, I attended Photonics and Optoelectronics Meetings (POEM) and learnt some latest development of photoelectric measurement and control. . 1point 3acres

      In 2010, I went to Provincial Key Laboratory forWireless Communication and learnt from Professor B about XXX Radar (this radar is a project of National High-Tech Research and Development Program of China or 863 Program). A radar responder, which can radiate the radio wave to simulate the reflected signal in certain distance for the testing of this radar, became my recent completed project there. Undertaking the biggest project ever in my work, I have undergone considerable technical, mental, and physical challenges. But at last my energy and persistence conquer all things. After fully examining some vital knowledge about radio wave propagation over rough sea surface, I programed to generate a linear frequency-modulated continuous wave with DDS and built the circuit with the function of filtering and amplification to radiate this 200-mw signal away from the antenna. It is an asset in my life to deal with such a complex electromagnetic radiation system.Participating in this project taught me more than how to build circuits and program for the DDS. Most importantly, I learned about the planing and coordination involved in building a large, multi-part system with others.

      Now I started my undergraduate final project about the electromagnetic cavity effects from the transmitter. My work is mainly about using FEKO software to simulate the RF environment. Although no one in my class has used it at that time, depending on my strong self-learning ability, I am fully absorbed into the simulation picture of electromagnetic fields now. I owe much of my achievement in these research projects to my undergraduate study in M University. The Radio Physics is a National Key Discipline in M University. Having immersed myself in this rigorous undergraduate program, I have become well versed in my chosen Major, together with a consolidated grounding in its allied disciplines. My established interest on electromagnetics was intensified with further study. I obtained very high scores and ranks in related courses such as Methods of Mathematical Physics, Electromagnetic Wave and Field, Radio Wave Propagation, Microwave Principles, RF Circuit as well as High Frequency Electronic Circuit and Low Frequency Circuit. . check 1point3acres for more.

      Naturally, I am contenting to a comforting sense of security should I pursue an electrical engineer career in my home country. However, I find myself currently standing in the shallow end of the pool, and to accomplish my dreams, to draw out the person within me, and to attain the Holy Grail in the field of Electrical Engineering, I am required to venture into those deep waters. Consequently, I elect to apply to the PhD in Electrical Engineering at T University in order to gain a new range of educational and living experiences. With a solid reputation among scholars and students, some faculty members’ research on electromagnetics there appealed to me greatly. I knew a cloaking device capable of hiding a 3D object in free space from microwaves has been created there. I also learnt Dr. Ali's research on the Adaptive Integral Method as well as other researchers’ work.

      I have every confidence to be a Longhorn of the T University. I have strong interest on electromagnetics, which can fuse the advanced mathematics and physics into engineering. I see many people evading from this area for its difficult but as folks say, what we do willingly is easy. Through those projects above, I have not only learned many practical techniques but also acquired a solid theoretical background and a broad scope in scientific research in my fields of interest. I can cooperate with others to make quick progress in electromagnetics. To pursue this PhD with enthusiasm and zeal, I shall mingle theories with practical applications, and bring to the table interesting problems from my experience and past education. Driven by my interest and capacity in electromagnetics, I would expect myself to be a senior professional in the future. Today, the great progress has been made in many areas such as radars, antennas and electromagnetic compatibility. I believe pursuing a PhD degree at T University would be a most reasonable extension of my academic pursuit and the most major step forward toward my career goal.

第一段:兴趣缘起
第二段:国家实验室的一段经历. .и
第三段:省重点实验室的一段跟重大专项沾边的项目经历
第四段:毕设经历(虽简单但与申请方向相关度较大,不忍舍去) 与course highlight(这几门课高分且与申请的方向密切相关)
第五段:择校缘由与对申请学校的在这一方向研究的认识
第六段:个人优势与加入对方学校后能给对方带来的,还有职业规划

是8051单片机,用的汇编,pcb用的是protel99,两者都不是很高级,说细了不大好吧?
