关于哥大MFE转OR，求问各位大牛

昨天收到了哥大MFE的拒信，里面也不出意外地出现了经典的转OR邀请（怎么那么像经典加试。。。），原文如下

However, we do wish to draw your attention to our Master of Science in Operations Research program, for which we believe you may be a good fit. The Master of Science in Operations Research Program is designed to enable students to concentrate their studies in methodological areas such as mathematical programming, stochastic models, and simulation.  The department offers a variety of domain specific courses in areas including logistics, supply chain management, revenue management, risk management, and financial engineering.  

In addition to courses within the Engineering School, students can also take electives from various schools within the university, such as the Graduate School of Business, the School of International and Public Affairs, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Law.  The Department suggests a number of elective courses depending on areas of interest.  These areas of interest include Optimization, Applied Probability, and Financial & Managerial Applications of Operations Research.  Please refer to http://ieor.columbia.edu/pages/g ... research/index.html for more details.

If indeed you do wish to be considered for admission to our MSOR program and would accept our offer of admission if admitted, please respond to this email by Wednesday, March 9th with one paragraph outlining your interest in the MSOR program.

俺的问题是红色加粗这一段的意思是如果表示愿意转OR给了AD就一定要接受么？学校有什么手段确保俺能遵守约定呢，比如deposit，或者信用记录？因为还在等别的项目，所以比较纠结。。。

求各位大牛解答！

我又来向你请教了。哥大有个新开的MS&E项目。这个专业的课程和MSOR很相近（两个专业都选满金融课程的情况下），这个项目的录取难度和MSOR比怎么样？它是和商学院联办的，会接受GMAT吗？

you can choose electives of MFE even if you're admitted in MSOR

if not, I suggest you turn down the "redirect offer" and prepare for interviews of other programs

the point is if you really want to attend a univ with great brand name then take it

you can choose electives of MFE even if you're admitted in MSOR

if not, I suggest you turn down the "redirect offer" and prepare for interviews of other programs

字面意思是那样 学校当然希望给了你offer你不要拒掉

不过又没给你financial aid 不是硬性的 顶多就上上黑名单 同行之内交流下
