Dr. Zhen Hu in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at University of Michigan-Dearborn is looking for multiple highly self-motivated Ph.D. students.

Dr. Zhen Hu’s research interests include uncertainty quantification, design under uncertainty, multidisciplinary design optimization, data analytics, and Bayesian inference with applications in failure diagnostics and prognostics, wind/hydrokinetic turbine, and additive manufacturing.

The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and have a strong enthusiasm to learn and seek a challenging multidisciplinary research environment. A background in mechanical engineering, material science, or other related engineering fields is desirable although all qualified candidates will be considered. The student must have a master degree in any one of these disciplinary areas before starting the Ph.D. program in the United States.
