UCSD的双学位限制问题

UCSD关于duplication of advanced degrees 有明文规定，因为本人正在学习CEE的MS，想申请UCSD的CSE，而这两个项目同属于Engineering类。发邮件问了小米以后还是不太清楚，求助地里的大家。

小米回复：
Holders of an advanced degree in one field may be considered for admission into a master's degree program in another field. This decision is ultimately made at the discretion of the CSE admissions committee and the UCSD Graduate Faculty Council/Academic Senate within the Graduate Division. 询问了我的目前项目与想要申请的CSE同属一个field以后，我问我的application会不会被考虑，小米回复：
You application will be considered, but the university may enforce the duplicate degree policy if your file is nominated - this decision is ultimately made at the discretion of the CSE admissions committee and the UCSD Graduate Faculty Council/Academic Senate within the Graduate Division.

所以我目前的理解是我申请了，UCSD方会查看我的资料，但是也同样【可能】会对我enforce duplicate MS degree的政策。但是我明确询问能不能获得MS学位对方又只按照上面的一句模棱两可的回复我。
大家有什么看法呢？

我也遇到了这个问题，打电话问ucla的小米，直接说不可以。现在我发现也有其他几个学校有同样的要求，不知道怎么办。
