有没有奖学金？

前两天把剩下的学校问了个遍，ms终于有了点好消息：
一个套过磁的教授：
It is my understanding that you have been recommended for acceptance to our PhD program. Congratulations! You should be receiving information about the acceptance from the graduate school soon.
然后我问他有没有money，回复说：
If you have not received an email from the department, then you have not yet been offered any financial support. Unfortunately, not all admitted PhD students receive financial support. Even if not, there are likely to be employment opportunities for you on campus if you can still come.

也就是说money由department给？记得以前有封邮件说the best applicants are usually offered teaching assistantships or fellowships。。
这个到底有无money呢？ 没的话也是杯具。。

没有
最后一句意思是你来了还有机会在学校内找钱
注意likely, to be和still的语气

同意大叔。意思是说你的offer letter上要是没写有钱，那么就木有钱了
但是如果你来，那么学校里会有一些工作机会for you
（隐含的意思是，他不给你RA……）

哎，保底offer也不好拿啊。。

敢问接下来该怎么做呢？
自己的想法：
1. 接着问教授，看他知不知道我有没有TA or fellow？不过，如果有的话，他应该知道吧。。
2. 联系department~ 不过，上次我问小蜜时她透露的更少，都没说我要被推荐录取的事。。
anyway，还得做工作~

问了教授，得到如下回复，╮(╯▽╰)╭哎。。。
According to the admissions committee, you will not be receiving a TA or fellowship offer (about half of our admitted PhD applicants do not 这么穷的说。。). Unfortunately, I do not have an RA position to offer you. I hope you will still consider joining us here, although I understand your financial constraints.

接下来该如何套钱？向他证明口语能力，争取TA？

看这语气，估计是套不来了。TA也不是他决定的了得

I do not have the authority to offer you a TA position, however. Those offers come from the department.
好吧，看来得换人套了。。现在还没资本放弃他家。。
