I regret to inform you that we are unable to admit you to the MSAI (formerly MSBIC) program at Carnegie Mellon. The program received a huge number of applicants this year, and we were only able to offer admission to fewer than one in eight applicants. Not being admitted is not a reflection on your capabilities, but is based simply on the fact that space in the class is limited and a large number of qualified candidates applied.
