大家写推荐信的时候会写很多细节吗？ 还是有所取舍？

今天找文书公司改了一下推荐信，删减的尺度直逼广电总局，不少细节都被删掉了,这是他们的评价：

In revising this letter, we tried to look at the letter from the point of view of the recommender. As we understand it, a person who occupies such a high position is very direct in his/her manner of evaluating. Thus, as a final note, a good reference letter must contain a positive reference WITHOUT going over the top. A letter that has too much detail, an overboard reference, and is over one page is generally just tossed. Worse, it puts a bad light on EVERYTHING the student has done.

我承认改过之后确实非常coherent，但是读完给我的感觉就是只知道你做了一个毕设，至于毕设的内容还有修改的细节统统没得了。LZ现在很困惑，所以想问问大家是怎么看的。

不用面面俱到的，会太啰嗦。。。。
