[NYU適用] 值一千多刀的帖子，不看後悔

如何賺一千多刀？就是Waive 掉NYU 坑人的保險。
一千個傷心的理由～～～，其二：
- NYU 留學生default 的保險是comprehensive, 即便為方便買學校保險，謹記調到 BASIC，有同學就是不知道，白白送了一千多刀！！！！
- 不是NYU的保險也可以同等條件看學校CLINC，親測急診，也只收了15刀（同價），NYU保險也做不到100% CLAIM Rate

出邊的保險雖然也有點坑，但對於大事情的保障也不比NYU的差很多。舉個屁如，我買ISO的 Care Plan （没有廣告你可以看看別的，我當年研究過ISO算是進可攻退可守，性價比高）
，才一千多刀，即便倒霉到經常看醫生，花了Deductible 500 刀，加起來還是比NYU的便宜挺多。
*Deductile 是指你要自己全付的Amout，當你累積了超過這AMOUNT才可以開始算CLAIM。

操作程序：
Timeline: 不用急，保險是一年的，從8月20几到明年，所以8月24／25才搞也不晚。DEADLINE: FALL - SEPTEMBER 30TH, SPRING – FEBRUARY 10TH, SUMMER – JUNE 5THEffective Dates of Coverage
Annual 2018-2019 August 21, 2018 - August 20, 2019

1. Visit this page, and just need to read the section of International Students in F-1 or J-1 Status. The waiver system is not related to international student unless you do downgrading of the school plan.

***Their instruction is a bit ambiguous, may be intentionally.... just follow below steps should be fine.***

2. Download the International Waiver Attestation Form, and fill out part A, just left part B blank at the moment.
3. Then send the form with some points summary of the plan (attached insurance plan) you are going to bought to health.insuranceattestation@nyu.edu or hand delivered tothe NYU Student Health Insurance Office.
SAMPLE:
Title: International Students Insurance Waiver Request
Hi,
I would like to request for approaval for the international students insurance. I intend to buy the xyz insurance plan, which should meet the NYU Minimum Coverage Requirements.
Please see the attached detailed insurance plan.

They should reply you something like this to signal an approval:
Hello,
Thank you for contacting the Student Health Insurance Department. We have received the insurance waiver attestation applying to waive out of the Student Health Insurance plan for the academic year 2017-2018. Your waiver attestation will be assigned to an insurance representative for review.  You will be notified by email within 2-business days to advise you if your request has been approved or denied. A reference number [#192685], has been assigned for your convenience.  If you have any further questions or concerns please reply to this email.

4. Then, officially buy the plan, and ask the insurance company to fill out part B (send to customercare@isoa.org).
Hi,

I have paid the ISO international student insurance. Please check the insurance plan and receipt,
and help filling out the remaining part of the Student Insurance Acknowledge form.

5. Reply onto the email in step 3 with the final complete attestation plan and insuance plan and receipt.
