UMN MSME 项目选择问题

    如题，我现在正在申请明尼苏达双城的ME，需要选择是thesis based还是project based，所以想问问地里的小伙伴，这两者有什么区别呢？

      一个是20 course credits at the 5xxx and 8xxx levels, and 10 thesis credits with a final thesis presentation
      一个是26 course credits at the 5xxx and 8xxx levels, 4 research course credits, with final project presentation.


    我的理解是thesis需要写论文参加答辩，偏理科。project需要做研究做项目，更注重实际，偏工科？（好像也看不出什么区别。。。）
    或者前者为phd做准备，后者为找工作做准备？那么后者又和course based  30 course credits at the 5xxx and 8xxx level. 有什么区别呢？
