如果两个都是cs master我会去CMU，CGGT vs. ebiz我更倾向去UPenn CGGT。毕竟比起ebiz, CGGT更hardcore一点吧 ...

不过你真的只准备申4所学校？感觉好霸气。。。

对这两个program都不太了解不好帮LZ……单纯看学校的话我会选CMU， 就业机会肯定会很好。

之前看过一句话， 大概意思就是“当两个选择都不错不知选哪个的时候， 选择一个， 并且坚信比另外一个好， 一直努力下去， 那么这个一定是最正确的选择” …… 额 我说出来好没文采， 原文还是蛮有文采的……

个人觉得也是找工作的话ebiz做跳板是非常给力的，虽然说自己本身的 ...

上课是学东西，做项目同样是学东西。就毕业找工作来说，做项目学到的东西远比上课来的直接。

而且硕士很灵活的，你进去了，确实觉得不合适，再改方向通常也来得及。换学校可就没有那么方便了。

UPenn给了ad，剩下的UCSD和保底用的的NEU就不申了...其实本来UCI都不用申了的

个人投给ebiz.

美本对于traditional lecture, online-course, 和project模式课程的经验来说 我觉得project中能学到的东西是最多的
我也曾经以这个命题做过research 美国学生和公司 都更value project为课程主流的课 觉得对学生的能力培养比老师上课要多得多
之前看过CMU一个professor的演讲，非常Impressive 更坚定了我对于project-centered curriculum的偏好
不过这些都是和个人经历和peference有关的

我也是想通过ebiz做跳板找工作的 和lz共勉吧。俩学校确实都很好 不过upenn的名气在CS这个领域远不如cmu,真心的

如果LZ选upenn 进去还是转CIS吧 cggt挺虐的
针对找工作来说 cmu的cs排名是比upenn高
但这和找工作真没关系 大公司每年都会去upenn cmu招一定的人
除去大公司 中小型公司提供的码农工作也超多
当你真正和雇主聊过会知道 在他们眼里都是好学校 不care排名 care你的实力
mit的cs牛吗 那又怎么样 大家都能靠着自己学校的名声拿到面试机会 在这之后都是平等的 后面的就只能靠你自己了

Sorry for not being able to type Chinese.
In some sense, YES. Especially some CG courses require large amount of coding. Better have a solid background of C++ proramming.
Overall, most of the courses provided in the CIS department are high-quality and worth taking, which can truly help you improve in both theoreical concepts and practical programming ability.
If you do like pursue in the CG/Animation/Game industry, you should choose CGGT otherwise CIS would be a better option. CGGT actually emphasize more on Animation aspect, but seldom Chinese students can find a position in that industry, even some of the top students. Because th Animation industry values those with years of industry experiences. Only handful of Penn undergraduat students in the DMD program can get job offers from companies like Pixar, etc.
Btw, every year, there is several competent graduate students in CGGT who can enroll in the PhD progam after the second year and the job replacements in 2010 are promising in terms of Chinese students. And CIS students can find jobs in the financial and IT industry. There are many opportunities here and many companies in financial and IT industry are willing to come to Penn for rcuitments on a annual basis regularly.
An important way to get excel in either academia and job market is to take full advantage of the cours resources and maintain a good GPA. If you want to do research, ask professors and some of them are really willing to or such good opportunities.
