丢了I20 以后申请OPT

楼主丢了有CPT信息的那份I-20， 去学校的international office问了以后发现没有以前I-20的备份or扫描件，上网查了攻略，有的学校比如NYU建议写一封补充说明letter，包含以下信息：

1 Contact your previous school and see if they have copies of your I-20 and/or evidence of previous o-campus work authorization in their records. Have copies sent or faxed to you. They may ask you for identication and a written request due to privacy reasons.
2 If I-20 copies do not exist or were destroyed, ask if they can write a letter noting your dates of attendance, level of study at that time, whether you had o-campus work authorization or not, and that your I-20 copies are not available.
We recommend that you write a letter of explanation, too. It should contain the following:
Current date (month/day/year)
Print your full name, date of birth, and SEVIS ID number
State that you are missing some of your original I-20s; be as specic as possible
(You can describe what happened if you like but keep it brief and no more than one page)
. 1point 3acres If you are missing the I-20s of non-NYU schools, list the name of the schools and your dates of your attendance at the schools
(e.g. Rutgers University, Started attendance 9/2008-present)
State the date you started your studies at NYU
State that you have not used OPT at this specic degree level before
State if you were able to get copies of your I-20s or not
Sign your letter

去学校的international office咨询了advisor以后，她给的建议是把现有的I20 copies交上去即可，不要写补充letter以防引起移民局不必要的注意，她说无法保证OPT一定会顺利批下来，但往年丢I20的事情很常见，目前没有哪个学生因为I20丢失，OPT被拒回来找学校帮忙的。


楼主查了官网要求，上面写了要求交OPT的I20，如果以往有转学或者CPT的经历，还是要交含有CPT的I20或者之前学校的I20。
