大龄女码农拿到了 sbu的cs的ad

马上36岁了。汗。
三围很弱
zju 本科 information engineering 3.21/4.0
zju 硕士 85.5/100
GRE 308+2.5
teofl 86，
之前拿到一个iit的ad，现在sbu的，话说，有点不明白为什么给我ad

我的本意是去美帝找工作，所以比较想读一年制的水专业软件工程之类的，在等bu的 软件工程，只需要8门课就行。
sbu邮件里说我本科不是cs的，所以还要补很多cs的科，敢问各位大侠，像我这种情况去sbu，是不是毕业两年都不够啊？哎，好纠结。

邮件这么写的，是不是要2年才能毕业了

We normally admit only those students that have a full undergraduate-level background in Computer Science, but
in recognition of your unusual strengths, we have made an exception. In order to acquire the missing background,
you will be required to take the following undergraduate courses in order to be cleared for graduation with an MS
degree. Note that these requirements are over and above our normal MS degree requirements.
 Theory of Computation
 Algorithms
 Programming Languages or Compilers
 Operating Systems
Subject to certain conditions, our MS program permits students to take some undergraduate courses as proficiency
requirement (CSE 587). Based on your overall preparation at the time of entry to the program, the program director
may also permit you to take one or more graduate courses to partly fulfill the above proficiency requirements.
Therefore, completing these proficiency requirements may lengthen the time you will need to complete the MS
degree when compared to applicants who have no CS deficiencies. If you accept this offer and join our program,
you should meet the graduate academic adviser or program director as early as possible in your first semester to
understand these requirements and plan your schedule of courses. The director may, in some instances, permit
graduate (rather than undergraduate) courses to be used to satisfy a proficiency requirement depending on your

你发邮件问问招生官具体要补哪些课？然后发上来让大家帮你参考参考？
另外我个人感觉要考试的课不谈，做项目的课，找到靠谱队友or抱到大腿就不难
还有就是从朋友那里听说直接招fulltime越来越难了，找工作的话1.5年以上的项目有一个summer intern比较靠谱

信里是说可能会时间更长，但不是绝对的，你需要做的应该是好好研究系里的课程，看哪些课跟graduate的课相通，做好准备之后要导师邮箱，跟导师提前沟通，比如跟他说你想多长时间毕业应该怎样做，问他哪些课graduate level的上过undergraduate level的就不用上了，问他比问谁都有用。

嗯，可是我在国内有十年工作经验，难道还顶不上实习吗？

佩服楼主的毅力！我们这些后辈更不应该偷懒了

恭喜楼主，我本科也不是CS，但是我的学校不用补课，据我了解即使需要补课你也可以根据情况一个学期多学几门课，就是比较累。最后具体怎么搞得跟系里好好沟通，美国学校上课弹性很大，也很好商量，跟学校沟通好让课程安排跟自己的计划相匹配就行。

是的, 基本是要两年了....undergraduate level的课不算在毕业学分里面.....
