求分析下这老师什么意思

通识课，文章被老师认定plagiarism，我过去直接承认错误（是的写文章态度我不端正，承认错误）那一篇文章直接0分。老师跟我说他很kind, 说我可以写一篇make-up essay，不写这门课直接fail，但他说写了也没法"保证"XX（没听的太明白），因此我后来发邮件询问他。能帮我看看老师这是啥意思吗，这个makeup essay的分数是替代我得0分的文章，还是直接决定我课程的分数？

We assign all final grades in the week to come. My advice to you now is to focus on graduation, your family visit, etc. I'm sure there's much for you to enjoy these days.

所以有童鞋能帮忙解答下吗，这个makeup essay的分数是替代我得0分的文章，还是直接决定我课程的分数？以及他说的这个report，仅仅是例行公事，发给我，还是发给office of 那个啥的，这样可能要听证，好慌啊..........

没有直接证据就不应该承认，除非你演技太拙劣。其次为啥你这么关注这个essay到底是起什么作用？这影响你要好好写吗？很明显老师不想然你failed掉，又给了你个机会，好好补救就行了，别一直追问这些细枝末节了
