cap gap+h1b pending期间不能更新驾照吗

h1b还没有approve，但已收到i797c和更新的i20，dmv说不能更新驾照，问了sevp也说要等case approve后才能更新。求问ead过期之后直到h1b approve期间怎么开车。。。

主贴里贴不全，补在二楼：

The Form I-797A, “Notice of Action” (not the Form I-797C) sent to the recipient by USCIS once approved for a change of status to H-1B.
The updated, endorsed Form I-20 with new language in the comments section on Page 3 indicating:
That the change of status to H-1B is Approved by USCIS; not Requested or Pending.
The student’s F-1 status and employment authorization, if applicable, have automatically extended to September 30, 20XX.
The student has authorization to remain in the United States and continue employment, if applicable, with an expired EAD.
The student’s current or latest EAD, even if expired.

可以更新。我同样情况，cap gap H1b pending，在湾区dmv用cap gap I20更新了驾照。

同在湾区 也是cap gap。 请问除了i20之外都要带什么文件去呢？

先在网上填申请表，还要带i94，护照，现金或借记卡。
