急！已经申请了post-opt 答辩也成功 但是论文无法按时提交

急！我已经申请了post-opt，答辩也过了。
但是一个committee member在学校提交论文的deadline的一周前要求revision，我一周根本无法完成要求的revision。
现在的情况是我答辩通过了，但是由于缺一个committee的签名导致无法按时毕业，要延期一个学期。

summer这个学期本来是我最后一个学期，我已经在用CPT full-time工作了，本来打算opt和cpt连上继续工作，现在这个情况不知道收到的opt还能不能继续用。

我仔细看了学校post-opt的要求，分为三种。
1. based on graduation。毕业之后开始。（本来我申请的是这种）。
2. based on completion of course work。
3. based on letter of completion。

我本来申请的是1，但现在1已经不可能了。3学校学校clear dissertation后才发letter of completion，也不适用。
2的话由于我用了cpt，最后一个学校的cpt学分用的是internship的学分，包括在了degree plan里面，不知道2还是不是适用。

联系了学校international student service，居然要预约，最早要周四才有appointment，我现在急得团团转，手都在抖。求版里有没有相似经验的朋友！

update一下 今天和iss说了，学校说没问题，cpt还是超常用，opt到了就可以开始工作，一年内finishi degree。抓紧时间改论文去了。

不会影响，但是要在extension之前搞完。uscis有个备忘录说了pending thesis也可以，只要你课上完了。不需要新的I20.
我就是这么过来的：
3月毕业，被xx导师拖thesis
5月上班，慢慢搞
12月搞定，拿到毕业证
第二年5月用毕业证申extension，approved
第二年中签H1B，approved，no rfe

懒癌发作的我表示。。。我opt上班已经半年的，thesis design到现在最终都还没交。。。
好像不是很影响吧。我们学校international Office是说opt extension 之前交上，不妨碍extension就行。
希望不要误导楼主，毕竟我觉得我们学校比较随意。。。

thesis pending post-opt is totally fine, many people are doing that way actually...

just submit your thesis before your first 12 month opt expires

I don't think you have to enroll any course for the pending semester

my situation was similar to you, I finished dissertation but was asked to further revise the thesis by my advisor....... But my OPT/job started right after my dissertation, so I went to work and submitted my thesis one week later.

But you need to make sure there is no gap between your I20 program end date and OPT start date. Once you apply for graduation, ISSS will shorten your I20 to reflect the actually end date. If there is a gap between program end date and OPT start date, but you have not submitted your thesis. There may be some problem, you can double check with ISSS.

lz是只申请了opt 还没收到卡吗？如果确定需要延期一学期的话 就写withdraw letter给uscis 我上学期也是提交了申请突然发现要延期一学期 那时候是在提交申请之后的一个多月 就withdraw了
现在又重新申请了

I had same situation, i don't that is big problem since you already applied OPT.  and You are completed all course work.

Post-OPT should be work if you achieved any of three requests , just my two cents, sorry I cannot type Chinese.  

我们学校isss的给回复的是我们已经有master的学位了，不受影响，program end date可以自己写。我觉得不要太担心，当然还是以楼主学校isss的回复为准。

我不想withdraw，因为我已经有工作了。

请问申请的是post-opt还是pre-opt？

我们学校的说法是post-completion OPT只有毕业才能用，你这个看来只有问你们international office才能得到正确答案了。
