[HR1044] 议员办公室关于群发邮件的回复和建议

自从HR1044在众议院通过后，大家都在讨论如何通过邮件表达华人群体的反对声音。但是我群发邮件后，有议员办公室的人提出发邮件模版和群发邮件都不是正确的方式，反而会适得其反。回复邮件时，他提出一些方式能够更加有效地向议员传达自己的想法。


我把这些回复粘贴在下面，大家可以一起讨论，看看如何更加高效、准确的发声。如果议员办公室有后续的建议，我也会一并贴在本楼。

第一封邮件回复：

This is not a productive way to share your opinion on this legislation.

Please share this with your colleagues as well.  Whoever advised you and MANY others to email over 350 congressional staffers on their personal business accounts, over and over again, is at best misinformed.

If you would like to share your opinion on an issue, you should use our website(s).  You can write Senator Kaine at www.kaine.senate.gov and you will receive a reply if you are from Virginia.

One other piece of advice.  You should have people reaching out to members from their home states.  For example, constituents for Virginia should write the delegation from Virginia.

I appreciate your reply and I respect your advocacy against HR 1044.

I think you guys have to revisit your approach.  All my colleagues, from both Democratic and Republican offices, work very hard on a variety of issues.  Our email inbox is how we serve our constituents and the country.  When we receive hundreds of emails on one issue into our personal inbox it hurts our ability to be effective and responsive to other who’s issues are just as important as HR 1044.

Using the appropriate portals for legislative/issues emails (our websites) and having advocates from the state or district reach out to their representative will be the most effective way to influence members to support your position.

Good luck and I appreciate you taking the time rethink this strategy.

说的非常好！ 建议全站置顶！ 我也觉得乱发邮件不妥，随便弄个机器人都能把议员邮箱轰炸了。 有没有更effective的方法。 能不能去国会或者参议院抗议？？？？ 有没有大哥组织一下 ???

从邮件回复来看，其实找advocates去联系议员办公室会比发邮件更好。但是我不太清楚咱们有没有这样的组织可以代表我们这个群体去reach out。
