Admission方面：
RPI课程偏tech, 除了一般申请必要的PS, resume, recommendation, test score, transcript以外，要求提交一份IT Background form
该Form还需要单独email给小秘
具体来说要求有以下几个方面的background:

• CSCI-1100 Computer Science I (Fundamentals of Computer Science) – Number systems;
basic computer architecture; stepwise refinement of algorithms; functions and parameter
passing; basic programming concepts through two-dimensional arrays and pointer basics
using C++.
• CSCI-1200 Data Structures – Pointers; classes; operator overloading; deep vs. shallow
copy constructors; inheritance; file I/O; templates in C++, introductory algorithm analysis
and data structures.
• CSCI-2300 Introduction to Algorithms – Topics including mathematical induction and its
application to algorithm design; linear structures; trees and balanced trees; heaps and
priority queues; graphs and graph algorithms; backtracking, divide-and-conquer and
greedy algorithms.

另外：
RPI的申请系统是所有graduate application合在一起，所以略微混乱。
PS并没有特别明确的essay questions 不过即使是master program仍声称看重科研背景和research interests....
从rej和ad的情况上看，rpi第一道从硬件上：GPA+GRE/GMAT AW 来初筛candidates,所以如果分数不是太理想建议刷分或找小秘argue要waive (群里据说有同学是成功waive掉AW劣势的，需要one additional recommendation letter)

Financial Aid方面：
admission和financial aid系统分开
收到ad后需要联系dept询问是否有奖
官方声称如果dept决定给admitted master student financial aid,那么将会是full tuition waive for the first academic year + $stipend, 但是学生仍需要负担自己第三个学期开始的学费及生活费

录取方面：
风格上看是rej从12月开始发一直持续到2月
二月底-三月初会发出少量ad

就业方面：
官方公布的就业率为100% 并明确说明including international students
