工科专业的优秀phd很多毕业都会直接进入工业界，根本就不会考虑去做faculty

First congrats on your offer from Lehigh~
Second I have to say you know nothing about the industrial field of civil engineering in US, especially the research areas of civil engineering at Lehigh.
Third, what you said might be true for your major at this time.

美国土木就业怎样当然与我无关，我只是站在我的角度评论一下罢了，据我了解lehigh主要就是培养工程师的，在工业界口碑挺不错，学术界的要求本来就更高，lehigh的牌子想去好一点的学校做faculty恐怕还欠一点
