Come to Washington, D.C. to participate on Thursday, October 17th at the United States Senate when Senator Mike Lee makes history and demonstrates that, for the first time, the Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act no longer has any Republican opposition in the Senate.

In addition, if the bill is objected to by any Democratic Senator during Senator Lee’s request that the bill pass Unanimously in the Senate, come join us to make your voice heard and to explain to your Senators why discrimination based upon national origin simply has no place in a just and lawful 21st century immigration system.

目前共和党的Senators按照IV的说法全都搞定了. 另外IV有这么几个action item:

Action Items:

2.) Senator Durbin shamelessly just went to the Senator floor to ask for Unanimous Consent to pass a bill which increases green cards many folds, knowing all too well that such a bill will not pass in Congress. It is Halloween season and Senator Durbin is trying to trick his constituents in Illinois with this completely illogical bill. A lot of people don’t know that Senator Durbin has been playing such games with the lives of immigrants for his entire time in Congress. Senator Durbin is biased and prejudiced against immigrants. Senator Durbin is anti-immigrant to his core and he is a disgrace to the Senate.
3.) Please call Senator Durbin office at (202) 224-2152 to –
  a.) Express your support for “Green card equality”
  b.) Tell him that “Separate is NOT EQUAL”, and
  c.) Tell him to stop playing these games with the lives of immigrants
  d.) Ask why he is holding you and your family hostage to his unreasonable demands
4.) Go to the website of the Democratic Senators from your State and look for the “Contact Us” page to send them the following message expressing your opposition to Senator Dick Durbin using his new bill to stall and kill the bipartisan Fairness bill.

所以看来我们应该做的:1. 继续给Durbin打电话表示反对S386
2. 给自己区的议员(尤其是民主党)打电话/写信表示反对S386
3. 给自己区的议员打电话/写信表示支持RELIEF
4. 希望有组织能去DC

怎么没什么人关注了？IV那边组织了好多人

估计是没有, 前面在芝加哥那么大的集会, Durbin还是没改口说支持S386.

众议院的党鞭最擅长的就是 搞事情 当然比参院的更能搞事情
