northwestern EECS 进展…

发帖问下地里申了西北EECS的筒子们，西北到底什么时候出结果啊~~等的好辛苦… 据说PhD4月15号都会出来的，现在了还没个动静…………
申请PhD的同学有没有拿到面试呢？或者已经有牛人拿到offer了~？求分享西北进展~~ Thank you~　BLESS us all~~!

同没有任何消息，几天前问小秘的模板回复

Currently, the review process is underway and will continue through March
and into April. We have over 750 PhD applications and over 850 MS
applications to review. Because of the size and diversity of the EECS
department, admissions are managed by the research divisions rather than a
central committee, so applicants in different areas will be hearing at
different times.

Your application has been forwarded to the committee for review. Decisions
have yet to be rendered on nearly all applications submitted thus far, so
you still have some time to wait before hearing back, so please be patient.

3.20左右拿到的ms ad，phd不太清楚
话说几百个人跟别家动辄2000的申请已经很少了吧，还这么慢

the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is finishing up the review of over 700 PhD applications.  They are just now beginning to review the 880+ MS applications that have been submitted.

to add to Dean Lindvall's explanation -- we also had separate batches of MS applicants who wanted to start in the Winter 2013 and Spring 2013 quarters, all of which needed to be processed. We are proceeding in a rank-based manner (weighted-like incorporation of GPA and standardized test-scores) and, after reading the SoP and recommendation letters, each student is additionally reviewed by a faculty who is most-likely the best match for advising. Each 2-3 weeks, another batch of 30-40 students is processed and contacted. To date, we have addressed approximately 60+ MS applications for Fall 2013 and the new batch is to go out later this week.

我申了NW的PhD，不过是工科其他专业，前几天问了有联系的老师，回复我已经没戏了。没有面试，查状态的网页一直没变化。
建议直接问老师吧~good luck
