暑研套瓷签证问题

小白第一次办J1 short term scholar，因为听说一般这个不会有资助，虽然对面Binghamton老师说替我问，但我跟他说自己自费，以免对面学校不太愿意接受。ISSS office说上官网看有些材料要准备，目前看到的是：
1.CV
2.Passport biographical page for scholar and any dependents（个人以及家人的护照传记页？）
3.Documentation of funding in the amount of at least $1,400/month for the scholar, $600/month for an accompanying spouse, and $400/month for each accompanying dependent child. All financial documents must be in English or accompanied by a certified translation. Any bank statements must clearly state the name of the bank, name of the account holder, currency, date, and available balance. If the J-1 scholar will be supported by a friend or family member, that person must provide a letter of support in addition to the bank statement.  （家里承担的话是要银行账户信息和支持信？是复印件吗？）
4.Appointment letter from the appropriate dean or vice president. Please note that if you provide an original letter, the letter will be returned to the department with the DS-2019. （院长或副院长的聘书？这是啥）
有办过的能解释一下这几个部分是什么吗？不胜感激～
