Ph.D. Student Position @ Oklahoma State U (Industrial Engineering)

Dr. Bing Yao with the School of Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) at Oklahoma State University is seeking Ph.D. students starting from Spring 2020/ Fall 2020. The prospective students will receive full doctoral-level financial support ($24,000/year) with a tuition waiver.

Bing Yao is an Assistant Professor at Oklahoma State University. Her research focuses on the development of innovative interdisciplinary data-driven models for smart health and advanced manufacturing. Specifically, her research interests include:
• Big data analytics for spatiotemporal complex systems
• Computer simulation and optimization
• Markov decision process and sequential decision making
• Biomedical and health informatics
• Sensor-based modeling and control of additive manufacturing
• Data mining and signal processing

The prospective students are expected to have a strong background in mathematics, statistics, and programming, with major in statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics, industrial engineering, or other related engineering majors.
