Secaucus drive-thru COVID-19 testing center opens Tuesday in NJ

SECAUCUS, N.J. — New Jersey's newest coronavirus testing site opens Tuesday in Secaucus after others continue to reach capacity within minutes of opening.
The latest COVID-19 drive-thru testing center, located at the Hudson Regional Hospital, opens Tuesday at 10 a.m. and is for Hudson County residents and first responders only.
Officials said patients must be pre-screened first over the phone in order to be given a testing spot, and you must have an appointment in order to be tested.
The new site opens after drive-thru testing opened Monday at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel and reached capacity just 30 minutes after opening. Another testing site opened Monday at Kean University in Union, solely for Union residents and by appointment only.
The Garden State's first drive-thru testing center opened Friday at Bergen County Community College in Paramus and has hit capacity within its first hour or two every day it's been open.
A fifth drive-thru testing site will open Wednesday for Passaic County residents at William Paterson University in Wayne. The entrance is on the Hamburg Turnpike and University Boulevard.
The site will be open daily from 9 a.m. to noon, or until it hits capacity. The facility is only open to Passaic County residents with a prescription.
As of Monday, New Jersey has 2,844 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 27 deaths due to the virus.
