Google summer internship goes virtual

We hope you are well. As the COVID-19 outbreak develops, we are doing everything we can to keep our Google community safe and informed. The situation continues to evolve, with new public health advice, travel restrictions, and Shelter in Place orders being implemented across the globe.

It is not clear how long these measures will continue for, and we know that this uncertainty makes it difficult for many of you to make the preparations necessary to travel to and live near a Google office for your internship. So in an effort to provide you with more clarity, we have made the decision to move our 2020 summer internship program to a virtual model. This means working remotely from home for the duration of the internship, instead of at the Google office as planned.

We know that this isn’t what you were expecting when you signed up, but we're excited to embark on this new way forward with you. Please know we will be doing everything we can to make your 2020 summer internship at Google an incredible experience for you.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. We’re so grateful you’ve chosen to intern with us at Google this year, and are looking forward to making this a great experience for everyone!

据我所知，host的office在美国，都收到这邮件，不论城巿
不知道其他国家情况如何
