Dear xxx,

Thank you for reaching out about this. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we are recommending that admitted students please wait to request a deferral until after June 15th. There may be some options for hybrid/online courses--we will share more information about this when it becomes available. We thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times.

After June 15th, should you decide that you will need to defer, the process to defer admission is to please send us the following information about yourself in a fresh email, and then we will process your deferral.

Please keep in mind that UC Davis runs on quarters (Winter Quarter begins in January, and Spring Quarter begins at the end of March, for example). You may request up to one-year deferral (Fall 2021). Please let us know if you have any additional questions about this process, or anything else in the meantime!
