互联网档案馆将于下周结束其免费图书计划

由于出版商提起诉讼，互联网档案馆将终止其提供免费、不受限制的电子书拷贝的计划。自3月份以来，非营利组织互联网档案馆(Internet Archive)已经在网上不受限制地提供了130多万册图书。本来这个计划是为了在疫情期间“服务于全国流离失所的学习者”，并表示图书馆将一直开放到6月30日或美国国家紧急状态结束。但是在周三发布的一篇博客文章中，它表示将于下周关闭图书馆。

The Internet Archive will end its plan to offer free, unrestricted copies of e-books after publishers filed a lawsuit. Since March, the Nonprofit Internet Archive has made more than 1.3 million books freely available online. Originally intended to "serve displaced learners across the country" during the outbreak, the library will remain open until June 30 or the end of the U.S. national emergency. But in a blog post on Wednesday, it said it would close the library next week.  source
