入职前公司律师的回复一头雾水，请有经验的同学帮忙解答一下

LZ情况如下，OPT第一年，EAD是5月份开始，8月要入职。目前还没有给SEVP和DSO更新这个工作相关信息。我咨询律师是否在入职前更新还是入职后10天内更新，律师回复让我入职后给DSO提供 I983就可以了，也不用提供Offer letter，但这个表不是延期才要用吗？我回复她，我现在是第一年，还不能申请延期，她这么回复的，我已经一头雾水了。请有经验的同学解答一下，现在需要做啥？我理解公司应该需要最新的I20才能入职，那是不是要告知学校这个Offer的信息才可以更新I20呢？
Yes, I understand that you are in your first year.
 
When you begin at xxx, you will have 10 days after the start of your employment to submit a new training plan to your DSO(I-983) that shows your change of employment. BAL provides you with this document to submit to your DSO. This is what the link below is for. You may complete the link now, if you have your information regarding your Manager or once you on board you can click that link, select update training plan due to change of employment, and fill out the form with the information regarding your manager, etc.
 
You may upload your current I-20 and EAD to Cobalt. There will be no need to provide your school with the offer letter, as the way to show you have a change in your employer will be through your updated Training Plan(I-983).

什么乱七八糟的，initial opt根本不用和律师交流任何事情。你问律师干啥子。BAL只知道办STEM OPT的i-983，他也是和你说未来他们可能服务你的业务吧。至于和学校更新工作信息，一般是入职十天内比较妥当。I-20一般公司不需要有他名字的版本，你有正常的opt 的i-20就可以。五月开始，八月入职，失业期90天？

By regulation, STEM OPT participants must send a completed Form I-983 to their DSO. Their DSO must enter the employer information into SEVIS. The employer will appear in the portal the day after the DSO submits the information in SEVIS.

initial 都是自己去SEVP update，不需要这个东西

感谢回复。那就不用他们做什么。我EAD开始以后，注册了自己的公司，然后在SEVP上更新过了，所以目前还没有失业期的问题，就看延期的时候会不会有问题了。
