美国政府雇佣科技公司来研发虚拟移民墙

特朗普政府与加州一家科技初创公司签署了一份用人工智能科技加强边境控制的合同。这家公司将设计一座虚拟墙，与特朗普的实体边境墙一起阻止非法移民从墨西哥的输入。这项5年的协议是由美国边境管理局与Anduril Industries签署，据悉该公司会部署几百个太阳能驱动的可移动监控设备在边境线上。用摄像头和热感应技术这项监控器会自动检测到移动的目标，AI系统会分辨目标是人，车辆还是动物，可以直接将位置发到边境巡逻警卫的手机上。

The Trump administration has awarded a major border security contract to a California technology start-up that will use artificial intelligence on an unprecedented scale, pairing the president's giant steel barrier with the kind of "virtual wall" long favored by Democrats to prevent illegal crossings from Mexico. The five-year agreement between U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Anduril Industries calls for the company to deploy hundreds of solar-powered mobile surveillance towers designed to operate in rugged locations. With cameras and thermal imaging, they detect moving objects and feed an artificial-intelligence system capable of distinguishing among animals, humans and vehicles, sending location and mapping information right to the cellphones of U.S. patrol agents.  source
