Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia, was temporarily transformed into a field hospital in April, with 200 beds and some temporary nursing facilities in its exhibition hall. However, the field hospital was not used in May and has been closed. The number of coronavirus in the state began to surge in June, and a record number of confirmed diagnoses have begun since mid-June. The state plans to reopen the field hospital again in response to the increasing number of confirmed cases.  source
