特朗普提出推迟选举日期，佩洛西引用宪法回应

特朗普在周四提出希望推迟11月的总统大选，直到人们可以安全的投票为止。他认为：由于疫情原因，多数人会采取邮寄的形式进行投票，而这种方式将会导致更多欺诈舞弊，2020年也许会出现史上最不准确的票数。
但是，特朗普是无权推迟选举的，宪法赋予国会设定投票日期的权力，所以改变大选日期需要得到国会的批准。而且两党的立法者之后也立刻做出了回应：选举不可能推迟！（根据一项1845年制定的法律，美国大选每4年在11月第一个星期一之后的周二举行；所以今年选举的日期还是11月3日！）
但是，立马有人就指出：如果大选真的被推迟了的话，特朗普的任期也将在明年1月结束，这样是否让pelosi 众议院议长佩洛西，将自动成为美国代总统？！
佩洛西想必大家也不陌生，她与特朗普的撕纸大战还是历历在目。。。
最后，佩洛西引用了宪法上的一句话回应了特朗普的“任性要求”：
“《宪法》第二条第1款规定：国会可以决定参选人的选举时间，以及他们投票的日期，这一天对全美都是一样的。”

President Donald Trump explicitly floated delaying November's presidential election on Thursday, lending extraordinary voice to persistent concerns that he will seek to circumvent voting in a contest where he currently trails his opponent by double digits. Trump has no authority to delay an election, and the Constitution gives Congress the power to set the date for voting. Lawmakers from both parties said almost immediately there was no likelihood the election would be delayed.The general election has been fixed on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November since 1845.
After the president’s tweet, a user noting that even if an election is delayed, Trump’s term in office would be up in January, making Pelosi the next in line.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) responded to President Trump’s tweet floating the idea of moving the November elections by tweeting a quote from the Constitution that cites the congressional authority needed to do so.
“Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution states: ‘The Congress may determine the Time of choosing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States,’” Pelosi tweeted Thursday.  source
