臉書Product Experience Analytics - DA面試心得分享和新鮮电面面經 求加米！

自從四月以來陸陸續續和Facebook面了不同DA職位 - Commerce Partnerships, Instagram, 兩個positions都面到Onsite可惜最後沒有拿到Offer. 但有和不同的Recruiter保持聯繫, 七月中Recruiter reach out for this Product Experience Analyst position. 我感覺這是在我目前Facebook面過的技術電面最困難的一次. 雖然沒有成功過到下一輪, 但特別紀錄與地友們分享, 求加米!

[面試準備心得]
第一輪電面主要準備方向有二:
1. Analytical Signal: 主要理解你用數據去解決問題的能力, case study questions focus on defining metrics for analysis and how you would measure the health of a product.  

• How would you measure the success of different parts of the product?
• Put yourself in the shoes of the product team who built the product / feature – why do you think theymade certain decisions about how it works? What could be done to improve the product?
  

我在回答這種問題的時候都會有個Framework:

• Clarify what the product/feature is
• What is the goal for this product/feature, from different perspectives (users, marketers, or facebook)
• Find the target user groups that we are solving the problem for
• Define the metrics that tie back to the goal (Can further break down into funnel: Discoverability, Engagement, Retention, Monetization)
• Prioritize the metrics based on impact and effort
• Summarize the answer
  

2.Technical Signal: Test your proficiency with SQL. 個人覺得DA的SQL題難度普遍還是不低, 需要花時間準備/複習.
常遇到的題目還是focus在CASE WHEN, Aggregations, 還有計算Rate時LEFT/RIGHT JOIN的應用. 地裡分享很多, 我就不獻醜了

[面經分享]
在基本自我介紹後就直接進入正題, 總共有七道題, Analytical和Technical混雜, 預定時間是60分鐘, 提早做完會有時間可以問面試官問題, 但我超時了10分鐘, 可能實力還是不夠...繼續努力!
一開始先簡單做個case介紹: push notifications team focus on delivering targeted messaging and prompting users to perform one or more actions. 接著開始回答問題.
