近期有新生成功入境并成功新生注册的吗

今年录取UCLA ME MS，F-1签证及机票都顺利办好了，甚至也预缴了几个月的住宿费。

原本预计搭下星期的班级前往LA,却在前天收到系上的email说将不再提供in-person课程，原本选到的一堂hybrid课也取消了...

查了网路资料发现有F-1签证要入境应该是没有太大困难。问题是不知道没有面授课会不会影响学籍注册、是否能active SEVIS。

想请问有没有今年要去UCLA的朋友能够帮忙解惑
或是推荐一些hybrid的课让我选
查选课系统好久发现很多hybrid课程都有不少限制...

机票是下礼拜的，我现在真的好慌 希望大家能给我点意见 谢谢！

同UCLA 我们lab就有一个类似的同学，我们反复给系里和Dashew Center确认后 是不能激活的，就算入境之后学校这边明确表示不能activate status，也不能legally remain in the country。他们更新了具体的FAQ 在网站上 具体在Dashew Center的COVID-19 update page 的F-1 student FAQ的section：

Q: I was a full-time student and held valid F-1 status at my previous (SEVIS transfer-out school) school. I have a SEVIS-transfer-in I20 from UCLA. Am I subject to the one in-person class enrollment requirement if I wish to enter the U.S or remain in the U.S. in F-1 status?
A:
As a newly admitted SEVIS transfer-in F-1 student, you will be subject to the one in-person class enrollment requirement if any of the following conditions are true:
- you were outside the U.S. at the end of the academic term at your previous (SEVIS transfer-out) school
- you left the U.S. after completing your classes and you are currently outside the U.S.
- you left and re-entered the U.S. with the UCLA I-20 after you completed your classes at your previous (SEVIS transfer-out) school
Due to the unavailability of in-person classes at UCLA in the fall, SEVIS transfer-in students who are subject to this requirement should not enter the U.S. The university will be unable to validate your F-1 status with U.S. Department of Homeland Security and consequently, you will be out of status. If you already have entered the U.S., please contact the Dashew Center for further guidance.

Q: I am a newly admitted SEVIS transfer F-1 student and have remained in the U.S. since the completion of my program at my previous school. Will I be able to maintain valid F-1 status if I am enrolled in only online classes for fall quarter at UCLA?
A: You will be exempt from the one in-person class enrollment requirement if any of the following conditions are true:
- you remained the in the U.S. during the spring term and the summer break. You have not departed and re-entered the U.S. after completing your classes at your previous (SEVIS transfer-out) school
- you entered the U.S. before the last day of classes at your previous (SEVIS transfer-out) school and have remained in the U.S. since then

是的我知道海关不会查，目前主要担心的是能不能active SEVIS，这样才能符合学生身分

我就是这个情况，UCLA, 已入境但是不知道有什么办法激活SEVIS。同学你有挖到什么进一步消息嘛

我知道之前8月是有人这样入境激活了的 但是现在可能没有这样的例子了
