PhD, MS student positions at CEE Dept. of Louisiana State University

Two Ph.D. student positions with full financial support are available in the research group of Prof. Chao Sun at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Louisiana State University. Prospective students with a M.S or B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and other related majors are encouraged to apply. Students with research experiences on structural health monitoring, machine learning, computer vision, and coastal/offshore structures are preferred.

Full financial support will be provided to student with tuition waiver. Successful candidates are expected to join in Spring/Fall 2021 to work on damage diagnosis of civil infrastructures using computer vision/deep learning techniques, and resilience enhancement of coastal/offshore structures under the advisory of Prof. Chao Sun.

Also, several MS student positions are available in Prof. Sun's lab. Students with an interest in structural engineering, structural dynamics, offshore wind turbines, and other coastal/offshore structures are encouraged to apply.
