If the application for employment authorization is approved, the F-1 will be authorized to remain in the United States in F status until the expiration date of the employment authorization document, plus 60 days as provided in their previous admission. If the employment application is denied, the F-1 would continue to be authorized to remain in the United States until the program end date listed on their Form I-20, plus 60 days as provided in their previous admission, as long as he or she continues to pursue a full course of study and otherwise meets the requirements for F-1 status.

我正在申请。我自己考虑后决定是30天。要考虑新规马上生效的影响。而且差的这30天，对你一年后延期申请时的影响并不大。但是万一新规通过定义30天grace period，你将直接无法工作出境走人。所以必然是舍弃掉这30天为当下最优解
