The Sun lab – Fluid Dynamics in Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
at Syracuse University has one open Ph.D. position starting from Summer or Fall
2021. The position will be fully funded.

==== Research Topics: ====
Theoretical and numerical studies of unsteady fluid and aerodynamic problems,
modal/non-modal analysis of fluid flow problems and flow control techniques.

==== Desired Qualifications: ====
A BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other
related majors including topic of fluid.
Experience with programming in MATLAB and C++.
Experience with publication in peer-reviewed journal.

【流体控制】是现如今比较热门的课题，综合了数值模拟，大数据分析，机器学习等最前沿的分析方法，设计流体控制的新型概念，为空气动力学相关产业（新型汽车，航天器等）带来效益提升。

与此同时，本组研究的分析方法可广泛运用于其他领域进行数据分析以及应用，科研形态非传统CFD，更偏向于交叉领域的融合与发展，适用于工业界及科研界双重职场规划。
