I graduated from *** with my *** (Ph.D. or M.S.) in *** research, and have moved to *** (议员所在constituency的城镇, e.g., Sacramento) to start a job in *** industry. (说跟议员兴趣相关的. 没啥相关的就不写)

My inquiry concerns the unprecedented delay in USCIS processing of my Employment Authorization (Form I-765). In particular, it has been 2 months since my application was delivered to the lockbox located in Dallas, and I have not even received a receipt notice. Meanwhile, the applicants who mailed their applications 2 weeks earlier than I did have already received their Employment Authorization Documents and started their dream jobs.


USCIS’s gross negligence and inexplicable delay in processing I-765 applications pose severe consequences to applicants and the recovery of post-COVID ***  (e.g., California) economy (outlined below). For these reasons, I implore that Congresswoman/Congressman *** to help me, as well as other applicants, so that USCIS can streamline their process, ***, ***.

我觉得发给自己所在洲议员这个挺好的，但是我觉得除了发给本洲议员说自己的case，但是如果给到DC的议员就要站在更高的角度阐述，因为我个人觉得他们不会因为个人特意去翻你的文件，只能推动他们加快lockbox TX重视I765，我个人觉得TX很有可能完全把I765的放一边，先处理I485的申请。所以这个诉求不是个人的问题，而是一个群体的，所以发给DC需要强调很多国际学生受到影响，个人看法哈

我现在还是不太懂啥是dc的议员。我发的是US Congressperson不是State Congressperson。US Congressperson在dc和district都有办公室。

给state congressperson/senator发信没啥用吧。uscis拿的是us congress的钱。
