收到邮件说可能会给interview也可能不给是什么意思

今天收到封邮件看的云里雾里的。感觉意思是不是我在waitlist里面？让我接着等。。。。后面又提到了面试是教授直接联系，是不是就是看有没有教授对我感兴趣了？之前有套过瓷但是没回。。。
邮件内容大概如下⬇️
...Our faculty members have been greatly impressed reading them all, and we will soon be emailing invitations to interview; it may take a week or more to get all the notifications out, so don't fret if you don't receive an email in the next few days. We will also notify people if they are not being invited to interview.

If you receive invitations to interview, we look forward to meeting with you. If you do not, we sincerely regret that we won't meet you, and you definitely should not feel like you are losing out; we're losing out on you. ....

..., and so the faculty members interviewing you will be contacting you directly to schedule mutually-appropriate interview times. ....

这几天看邮箱就可以了，我前两天收到了jhu的bme interview
