统计都哪些学校转PHD容易啊

嗯。我给他发邮件问了。他给我的回答是：
1) We have had only one graduating class - in Jan and May of this year (the first class entered in 2011). They all got jobs either in the US or in CHina (I cant give you the details of each person as that would violate privacy rules - bu companies include Capital One, Global Risk Advisors, GSB Podium Advisonrs, Cantor Fitzgerald, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Comrise Technologies, Hewlett Packard)

2)A company cannot continue to employ a student on an F1 visa beyond the allowed period of OPT after the student graduates - they have to sponsor the employee for an H1B visa and not all companies are willing to do that. Is it harder to get a job in the US if your are not a permanent resident or on an H1B visa - obviously it is harder.

3) It is possible but you would be much better off enrolling in a program that is a feeder program into a Ph.D. The FSRM program is designed as a "terminal" master program - not meant for students who want to go onto a PH.D but for students who plan on working after they graduate with their Masters degree.

chicago的统计不是一年的项目吗？听说今年变成一年半了？
harvard，stanford统计MS招进去的和phD几乎一个难度吧。。。。

也不会有哪个学校会在Website上写，我们家MS是PhD的后门。。。

但标出来terminal MS还是不一样的吧。。介绍里面也写的很清楚是Professionale的
说能接着申别家PHD还有可能 但说很好转自家PHD那就有点扯了吧。。。

chicago应该说是可以延到两年的，一年好像不太现实。。。
这个学校很偏理论，其实可以一进去就开始申请PHD，老师都认识。如果第一年结束的时候就申请上了，master不继续读就行了，上过的课也还有用呢。
