EAD卡上印刷错误的解决办法 包括名字错误 日期错误

首先确认之前提交的I765没有问题  这个很关键
然后写一封letter  标题是explanation of the error  可以由学校出具  自己写也没问题
内容包含


-Your full name
-SEVIS ID#
-Your OPT request case number (begins with YSC…)
-Your program end date, as listed on your I-20
-Your requested OPT dates, as listed on your I-20
-The OPT dates listed on the EAD
-The fact that the approved post-completion OPT dates do not make sense based on your program end date
-Make clear that you would like them to please reprint your EAD card with the start/end years corrected
-Sign the letter


以上是日期错误
如果是名字错误则为


-Your full name

-The fact that your name is misspelled on the EAD -- which is clear from your I-765, passport, I-20, etc.

接着将错误的EAD卡、OPT recommendation I-20寄回即可
同时可附寄可以证明错误的相关材料  例如原I765复印件
本人遇到的是名字错误  所以把护照和驾照也复印了一份寄了过去
寄的地址一般为Potomac  也就是I797上的地址  切记不是USPS上EAD卡寄出的地址

材料寄出后等待即可 预计等待时间为15~45天  期间会在原case上更新信息  没有新的case number

Please do triple-check the I-765 you submitted to USCIS to ensure your name appears correct on that form. If USCIS determines that the EAD error is not theirs, they will send the card back to you and you will be required to re-pay their fee along with re-submitting your card -- so you want to be 100% sure the error is theirs before sending your card in.

If your EAD card was processed by the Potomac Service Center:

If your Form I-765 was approved by the Potomac Service Center and your EAD card contains incorrect information due to a USCIS error, you must return the original card along with a detailed explanation of the error and supporting documentation to the Potomac Service Center at:

In these cases, you do not need to submit a new Form I-765 and filing fee. The Potomac Service Center will issue a corrected EAD card within 30 days of receiving your EAD card that contains incorrect information.

If you return your Potomac Service Center-approved EAD card and the Potomac Service Center determines your card contains incorrect information that is not due to USCIS error, the Potomac Service Center will return the EAD card to you. In this case, you will have to follow the process detailed in the Replacement Employment Authorization Document section of the Employment Authorization Document page to have your card corrected.

If you do not find the information you need through online services and need further assistance, you may contact the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 Telecommunications Device for the Deaf (TDD).

If your EAD card was processed at a Service Center other than Potomac, call USCIS Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 and ask for instructions.

啊，看错了，没看到不足12月。我的情况是应该一年的EAD给了两年。
如果是USCIS错误可以改的话（比如跟I-20结束日期不一致），可以file correction。因为USCIS延迟导致的不清楚。
改的流程是先入职，公司记录原卡的日期，然后file correction，附上explanation letter证明USCIS弄错了。收到卡后再跟公司update信息。
你是contractor吗？为什么合同有截止日期？

没有变 我因为提前入职了所以没有算失业期 鉴于目前delay严重start date应该是可以更改的 去官网找tier 2的人帮你处理

请问如果结束日期不正确，收到卡没有12个月，可以在入职后提交更改申请吗？收到新卡后再和公司更新卡和合同？

可以。先入职在file correction，然后跟公司update就行。我经历过一模一样的事情。

USCIS 2月份发了声明，说是因为significant delay, 会给12个月，不受14个月限制。3月份拿卡的，绝大多数都给了12个月。我找的是part time. 打算近期入职了，担心公司根据EAD的时间，设定结束时间。

你有把原卡一起寄回去吗？
